Cortijo Cañaveral is a farmhouse with outbuildings that have been restored in the old Moorish style, using local stone and wood wherever possible. We can accommodate up to ten people (depending on the number of couples and whether guests are willing to share twin rooms). There is a cottage which has its own kitchen and bathroom, a log cabin, two rooms attached to the farmhouse, and one further room built onto the old stables. |

All rooms have their own terrace, most with a vine trellis and views through the olive and orange trees over the river valley below. |

It is rustic but not primitive - we have the normal comforts: electricity,
hot water on tap, showers, washing machine, both compost toilet and flushing
toilet – all the necessary conveniences. But, though these are important,
they are not the priority, which is the natural surrounding, freedom from
artifice, fences, concrete and so on. |

Food: Lunch and dinner are served on a terrace under the vines,
breakfast is self- service. All meals are delicious vegetarian food with
attention to individual dietary requirements. Many of the ingredients
will be organic, but completely organic meals are possible at an extra
cost. |

Groups: The group working area is a wood-framed geodesic dome, which is canvas-covered with removable sides. It is 6.5 metres in diameter, and can comfortably house a group of ten people. |

| The spring water swimming pool is for the use of the group, and is idyllically set under the shade of olive, fig, pomegranate and almond trees. | ||

For Facilitators Its seclusion and stillness make Cortijo Cañaveral a good place to release yourself from old mind patterns, enter the silence and reconnect to nature. It is therefore well suited for courses that explore the spirit world: shamanism; breathwork; self-realisation; meditation; tantra; chi kung...
